Breastfeeding. Educational Technology. Unified Health System. Distance Education. Impact Assessment.
Introduction: Breastfeeding is a fundamental pillar for maternal and child health. Professional training through virtual learning environments, such as AVASUS, is a core strategy for qualifying clinical management within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS). Objective: To evaluate the impact of the theoretical breastfeeding management course on AVASUS based on Kirkpatrick's evaluation levels. Method: Applied research with an observational and evaluative design. Profile and flow data were extracted from the platform, combined with a structured questionnaire answered by 8,459 participants. The analysis integrated descriptive statistics and content analysis (Bardin) for open-ended responses. Partial Results: The sample revealed high capillarity, reaching more than 3,000 municipalities, with a predominance of young women, nursing professionals, and Community Health Agents. The experience was rated as excellent by 88.4% of users. Regarding impact, 89.2% reported greater technical security for clinical management, and 83.3% confirmed a multiplier effect of knowledge within their teams. Identified barriers include challenges with mobile device access and a demand for more audiovisual resources. Final considerations: Partial results demonstrate that the course is an effective educational technology, promoting professional security and potential innovation in healthcare services, providing grounds for recommendations to improve technology-mediated education in SUS.
