SUMMARY:

As a reflection of globalization, the use of information and communication technologies in the context of work has been undergoing a complex remodeling and, in the last year, numerous changes were necessary, considering the world scenario resulting from the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) .In this new context, the practice of the telework method of work gains momentum. Despite the widespread adherence in the various productive sectors, the innumerable advantages provided and a certain “enchantment” in relation to this modality, it is necessary to take a closer look at another important aspect: the precariousness of teleworking work. to discuss the relationship between implementation and adherence to teleworking and the precariousness of labor processes within a higher education institution, the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, quantify the number of civil servants who have adopted teleworking, and list possible complaints related to the precariousness of work processes from adherence to such modality.To do this, as a method, descriptive research of the documentary type will be used, being the case study the adopted strategy and, in this sense, an analysis will be made of the official documents issued by UFRN, as well as those published by the Federal Government that deal with the regulation and implementation of telework in the locus chosen for the study during the pandemic. The results will be submitted to the content analysis technique, as a way of organizing and analyzing the collected data. It is hoped, with this study, to expand knowledge about teleworking, bringing to light aspects that have so far been little researched, with a view to supporting UFRN in improving procedures related to the management of its work processes.
