SUMMARY:

 This work answers the question: "in what spatial configuration was the Practical School of Agriculture created in 1949 - current EAJ - offering operating conditions for an Institution of Professional Agricultural Education of RN that represent its memory?". Its general objective is to reconstruct the memory of the Escola Agrícola de Jundiaí from the spatial configuration built, when the Agricultural Demonstration Field was implanted in Jundiaí / 1913 in the city of Macaíba / RN. The specific objectives are: to describe the historical trajectory of the Public Institutions of Professional Agricultural Education of RN, in the years 1910 to 1950, referring to the training and practical professional agricultural environments; to identify the monuments originating from the implantation of the Agricultural Demonstration Field, use of the Practical School of Agriculture and constituents of the historical patrimony; propose guidelines for the preservation of the memory of the current EAJ. The concept of History is used as a theoretical / methodological framework, in Waisman (2013), recalling its origins; of Memory in (le Goff, 2003), showing marks of the past and, in Lakatos (2010), to carry out the treatment of data in the light of documentary research, the 1st EPA Inventory and Report Office added to the inventory, written in 1952 by the 1st Director Dr. Nilo Albuquerque, which highlights the buildings that supported the functioning of the current EAJ, appropriating also bibliographies published by graduates / teachers, as a secondary source, highlighting their memories. In these terms, to propose guidelines for the preservation of memory through the elaboration of a booklet for the conservation of the built Heritage, of historical interest since centenarians and still used today as laboratories, a contribution that comes in addition to the fulfillment of Art. 2 of the Ordinance MEC 1,224 / 2013.
