RESUMO:

Periodically the Brazilian postgraduate programs are submitted to an evaluation of the CAPES, based on pre-defined goals and indicators. This evaluation results in a score for each university program that can be determinant for the permanence of the course in these institution. In this context, the main goal of this work is to present a framework, based on the BPM life cycle and theoretical models, with means for understanding and meeting the goal established by CAPES, applied in a macroprocess of a Postgraduate Program of the Federal University of Rio Grande do North - UFRN. A bibliographical research and a field research will be used to reach the goals of this work. As a research strategy, a case study will be developed in UFRN Postgraduate Program. Data collection will be done based on documentary research, interviews and observation. For the treatment of these data, the technique of Content Analysis will be applied, involving the phases of pre-analysis, material exploration and interpretation. The aim is to elaborate a framework, to seek the understanding of the context of a postgraduate program and to suggest steps that may guide the alignment of the macro-process of the postgraduate program with the guidelines established by CAPES.
