RESUMO:

Improving management by measuring process performance in Public Management and providing information that helps in planning and controlling processes also enables monitoring and control of strategic objectives and targets. The present research aims to contribute to the control in the process of submission of academic projects at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, based on a process approach, through the elaboration of a panel of process indicators. To do so, it was decided as a research strategy for a case study, where several methods and sources of research were explored in order to identify, describe, and explain which process performance indicators should be used as a control tool. For data collection, in order to identify which issues should be metrified, we chose the methodology proposed by Martin Klubeck, the model is based on the Response Key. After schematizing the issues that should be metrified, these were categorized, and from there, the data collected can be processed following the Critical Success Factor for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), where the macroprocess to be metrified has been identified and which Critical Success Factors. Then, the triangulation of all collected data was used to finally catalog the parameters for measuring the indicators and validate them together with the work team.
