RESUMO:

Federal Law No. 11,788, dated September 25, 2008, brought several changes regarding the internship, conceptualizing it as a supervised school education act developed in the work environment, which aims to prepare students for the productive work who are attending the course. regular education in institutions of higher education, vocational education, secondary education, special education and the final years of elementary education, in the professional modality of youth and adult education. Based on Federal Law No. 11.788 / 2008, the Rio Grande  do Norte Legislative Assembly enacted Complementary Law No. 462, of January 2, 2012, dealing with the creation of the internship program for postgraduate students, called MP Residência. In this perspective, the student is confronted with several situations, which guide the theoretical teaching and the practical development of its activities, whose main objective is learning. Thus, the internship represents an important stage in the professional life of the student who seeks to enter the labor market, because it is through the internship that the learner has the first experiences of life at work and the development of activities that will insert the student into the professional career. This work has as scope to carry out a diagnosis of the postgraduate stage in the Public Ministry of the State of Rio Grande do Norte (MPRN). The data collection was carried out from the terms of the Internship Committees and the performance evaluation reports of the Resident MPs from April / 2015 to March / 2017, where the gender of the Resident MPs, the traineeship area, time in the Institution, the age and the criteria used in the evaluation. This research is expected to contribute to the improvement of the applicability of knowledge in the academy, in the practice of the postgraduate stage, in order to improve the institutional process of the internship in the MPRN.
