SHARING WORKSPACES AS A WAY OF OPTIMIZING RESOURCES: APPLICATION IN A HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION
sustainability, hybrid work, flexible offices, space sharing.
The study will address the importance of rationalizing work spaces in public administration in Brazil, especially with the great adoption of hybrid work by the most diverse bodies, which culminated in a poor use of work spaces that were not planned for this type of modality. In the current context of hybrid work at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, the need to adapt work spaces to avoid waste and optimize infrastructure will become evident. The objective will be to propose a model for the rational use of spaces in the Dean's Office of Planning, guided by sustainability and optimization of resources, with a view to reducing costs and establishing a standard that can be replicated in other public institutions. The methodology to be used will be applied, exploratory and descriptive, focusing on the reorganization of physical spaces to adapt them to teleworking and hybrid work. The research will adopt an action research approach, involving managers and employees to identify challenges and solutions, promoting efficiency and sustainability. The study will be structured in four stages: diagnosis, qualitative analysis, proposal for improvements and evaluation of proposals, and will use mixed data collection techniques, such as interviews and focus groups. At the end, it is expected to develop guidelines with guidance for sharing the use of physical spaces, as a way of optimizing resources and reducing costs, in addition to being applicable in other public organizations.
