DIAGNOSIS OF EMPLOYEE FOREIGN LEAVE PROCESSES IN FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES: AN ANALYSIS OF PROCESSES AT THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF RIO GRANDE DO NORTE

This research aims to analyze the administrative procedures for the temporary leave of absence of employees from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in 2019, with the purpose of proposing instructional materials directed at the institution's employees to enable them to prepare leave of absence requests in a practical, quick, and correct manner, thus optimizing the efficiency of this activity. As for the research problem, the guiding question is as follows: What is the importance of applying the administrative principle of efficiency in the preparation of leave of absence requests for employees of Federal Universities? Therefore, this study will address the following specific objectives: to relate the principle of efficiency to leave of absence procedures within the institution; to study the laws governing the temporary leave of federal public servants and the internal regulations of UFRN; and to conduct a diagnosis of the administrative procedures for leave of absence in 2019, identifying errors and discrepancies that occur in their preparation. Regarding the methodology, this study used a bibliographic study in addition to a descriptive, exploratory, and qualitative documentary research, as the researcher analyzed the data from the leave of absence requests of UFRN employees.
