SUMMARY:

This study intends to propose the systematization of the ceremonial and protocol of the solemn events held at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Theoretical bibliographic reviews and an exploratory study of the existing legislation will be carried out, both at UFRN and in Brazil, around ceremonials, protocols and solemn events. About its functions and identifying its relevance in the institution. The information will be analyzed based on the author's professional experience and also through the information obtained, it is intended to propose the elaboration of an instrument for systematizing the UFRN ceremonial that will subsidize the UFRN university ceremonial manual.
