The diagnosis of the organizational climate is presented to organizations as a strategic management tool that enables its development through the provision of relevant information on factors that influence human behavior at work, enabling the support of action plans, decision making and organizational management policies, which impact on employees' working experience, as well as the achievement of institutional goals. Understanding the importance of the practices on the organizational climate phenomenon, the present academic paper, in its technical product format, aims to present a methodological proposal for the diagnosis and management of organizational climate, as well as the implementation process for the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN, based on a theoretical foundation on climate and related constructs, which will support this technical production. In addition, a survey with the Federal Higher Education Institutions in Brazil - IFES will be conducted to show the panorama of the practices of these institutions related to the organizational climate, so that it is possible to analyze the adequacy of the instruments for the UFRN, both presented by the literature of the area, such as those currently used by the Brazilian IFES.
