RESUMO:

Throughout the 2000s, brazilian federal public institutions faced the modernization of its workforce and institutional practices, as well as institutions from the private sector. This new reality brought the informatization of its services and more efficiency. But, it has also faced the growth of precarious work and the loss of meaningfulness of work in some institutions. In this scenario, this work has the objective of identifying and analising the meaningfulness of work for civil servants of a Federal University's library counter. To achieve that goal, we will execute a field research with the use two instruments: the Scale of Meaningfulness At Work and an semi-structured interview. After the field research, we will make an analysis of the results and discuss it with another recent works in the field of meaningfulness of work among brazilian civil servants.
