RESUMO:

Promoting people engagement in their professional activities is one of the biggest organizations challenges, especially in public ones. From positive psychology, the engagement construct is designed in a three-factorial way, involving vigor, dedication, and absorption. The job demands-resources model (JD-R) theorizes how this phenomenon occurs through inherent characteristics of work involving resources - factors that facilitate engagement - and demands - factors that may hinder engagement. Considering the importance of the engagement to the achievement of the organizational objectives, it is proposed in this work the engagement analysis of teams projects members, designed to achieve a certain organizational result. Following the steps of the System Dynamics methodology (Sterman, 2000), a dynamic hypothesis will be created, in order to theorize how the problem possibly behaves. Concurrently, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with project managers and members to see which variables are involved with the engagement construct in a dynamic perspective. Then the interviews will be transcribed and coded, in light of the JD-R model, resulting in a causal diagram with the basic structure of feedacks and stocks, representing the dynamics related to this phenomenon. Finally, policies will be presented to improve the system modeled. It is hoped to have a systemic model of how engagement behaves within project teams within the context of a federal public higher education organization.
