RESUMO:

The absence from work due to illness or absenteeism-disease appears as a public health problem in Brazil and worldwide due to the repercussion it produces on the life of the worker, institution and society. The data on the removal from work in the federal public service began to be systematized with the implementation of the Integrated Subsystem of Attention to Health of the Federal Public Server - SIASS. The Health and Safety Information System for the Federal Public Administration (SIAPE SAÚDE) is the epidemiological database that supports SIASS 'three areas of action (health care, official expertise, prevention and health monitoring Of servers). Thus, SIAPE SAÚDE is the computerized system of the Federal Public Administration, which provides the data related to the health of the server, transforming them into management information so that the human resources areas can manage the retirements, disability pensions, Accidents, occupational diseases and functional readjustments, giving them appropriate treatment. The present research aims to discuss the removals of work due to illness from the analysis of the Health Information System, in order to identify the effective contribution of this to the implementation of the Federal Public Server Health Care Policy (PASS) in the scope local. This is a descriptive study of a mixed approach to be developed at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte - UFRN through interviews, documentary research and consultation of management reports made available at SIAPE SAÚDE. The aim is to analyze the functioning of the Information System in the SIASS-UFRN Unit, identifying the positives and the shortcomings in the process, in order to better inform a discussion about the need and possibility of changes conducive to improvements in feeding and feedback Of the epidemiological data produced. The preliminary data obtained allow us to affirm that diseases of group F, equivalent to Mental and Behavioral Disorders, represent 30%, being the main cause of separation of work between the assistants in administration, nursing assistants and teachers of the higher teaching profession in UFRN In the year 2016.
