PROPOSAL TO IMPROVE A MODULE TO FOLLOW AND DEVELOP CONSTRUCTION IN A FEDERAL UNIVERSITY

In public administration, construction has specific characteristics that distinguish them from private construction. Any construction is susceptible to many issues. In public administration, a supervisor is the person responsible of managing all matters relative to the construction. Supervising demands technical knowledge in engineering and current legislation and, at the same time, they defend the public interest. Therefore, objectifying to assist construction management in a Federal University, this research seeks to develop a model that will make possible to follow and evaluate constructions performance, aligned with BPM model. The analysis has a qualitative approach with a case study investigation. The data collection will be made through open interview with some Construction Sector employees; internal documents analysis and participating observation. It is expected that the proposed model be able to improve the Construction Management activities and contribute to upgrade supervisor’s activities.
