the State of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, understand the use of Prosecution Service's Communication Office to make public to society the acts arising of his interventions. It intends to inquire if the researched prosecuters perceive wich acts must be acknowledged by citizens through an wide communication, not only provided by Official Gazette, but by means of the press office. By this point of view, it will be verified how the publicness principle, the Transparency Law and the right to information impact on the prosecuter's decision to seek the press office and analise the motives and circumstances on which they avoid to give informations to the office, so it can offer to the population. The study seeks to make possible a more straight contact between the Communications Office and the prosecuters, by their understanding about the public communication performed by the Prosecution Service in Rio Grande do Norte and then, provide a better service taking information of public interest to society. This research presents interdisciplinary teorical material in the areas of Social Communication and law. The collection of data from the prosecuters runs in two stages, the application of a questionnaire send by e mail and an individual and personal recorded interview. To this collected data it will be applied the content analysis method, based on Lawrence Bardin.
