Regulatory control retuning for a produced water injection and reinjection system based on robustness estimate
PI Controllers, Controller Autotuning, Offshore Oil Production, Robusteness and Produced Water Reinjection
The availability and efficiency of injection and reinjection of produced water systems in offshore oil production units is a key objective for achieving the oil and gas production goals of these assets. In addition, they are in line with the restrictions of environmental organizations, which define water specifications for increasingly stringent disposal, in accordance with environmental legislation. Given the importance of these systems, this work proposes to reshape the regulatory control of a water injection system and reinjection of produced water based on robustness estimation. The Proportional-Integral Controllers, PI, are embedded in Programmable Logic Controllers, PLC, and have the function of controlling the main equipment of these systems, the water injection pumps in the reservoirs.
