SUMMARY:
Petroleum is still the most widely used non-renewable energy source in Brazil, and its consumption has been increasing, so there is a need to use advanced recovery methods for the maximum possible extraction of this oil. For this, these methods are used for the best possible recovery. Among these methods there are chemicals, which have the purpose of controlling the mobility of the displacing fluid through its viscosity, improving its sweeping efficiency. In this work, a study is carried out using numerical simulation for the application of the injection of polymeric solutions in a semi-synthetic and homogeneous reservoir, with characteristics of northeastern Brazil. The simulations were performed using tools from a commercial simulator belonging to the CMG (Computer modeling group) group. The work analyzed the influence of some parameters in relation to the behavior of their production. From the simulations performed, the influence of water injection and polymeric solutions was analyzed, as well as their most significant parameters in relation to their production. The main variables taken into account in this study were the injection rate, the concentration of polymers, the porosity of the reservoir and some injection schemes that were analyzed. For the analysis of the influence of the parameters, the generation of Pareto Diagrams was used, in order to verify the sensitivity of each variable. From the analyzes performed, it was seen that the most relevant parameters of polymer injection for oil recovery were the injection rate and the concentration of the polymer. For water injection, lower oil production values were obtained than for polymer injection.
