RESUMO:

The AUTHOMATHIKA PDH1002 plant is a didactic plant in the Laboratory of Automation
in Petroleum of UFRN (LAUT), used for the teaching of control and automation,
as well as being also used as a study object for research in this area. To foster the development
of future research in this plant, this work seeks to develop a model that represents
the plant satisfactorily, in addition to developing an efficient control project for it. In order
to do this, one should be aware of the difficulties presented by this system, defining its
limitations and non-linearities. Adding to the complexity of the plant is the fact that it is
composed of two meshes, A and B, each with a sequence of subsystems. For the simplification
of the work, only one of the meshes was identified and controlled, in this case, the
mesh B. As the work will be developed based on linear models, of the type continuous
transfer function, to represent a nonlinear system, the plant will be divided into operating
points, respecting operating ranges, so that in these regions it is possible to observe an
approximately linear behavior. In principle, the identification will be performed in the
pump-flow subsystem, which corresponds to the step between the pump, B-1002B, and
the flow transmitter, FIT-1001B.
