International Classification of Practical Nursing (ICNP®): an action research in primary care

There is growing concern about the quality of care provided to the population, as well as the search for viable alternatives for the organization of nursing actions during the life cycle. In this context, the use of nursing consultation is revealed as an effective tool, economic and allows efficient care care (CARRENO, 2015). Thus, nursing has sought the unification of language through various initiatives for the development of classifications for their professional practice. The International of Nursing Practice Classification represents the unifying framework of all elements of nursing practice classification systems (diagnostics, interventions and nursing outcomes) available in the area in a professional capacity that comes in response to the needs recognized by the profession as it is an information tool to describe the make and provide data identifying the profession's contribution to health care and promotes changes in this practice through education, administration and research. In this sense, the objective of the study is to implement the International Classification of Nursing Practice in Family Health Units, analyzing their impact. It will be dealing with an action research in which researchers and respondents are involved in a cooperative and participatory way in the actions to be developed. Aggregates also various techniques of social research through collective and active construction of all subjects involved in the problem to provide greater support in the daily activity of the professional (THIOLLANT, 1947). According to the Federal Council of Nursing, operation and documentation of the nursing process / nursing consultation highlight the contribution of nursing Health Care for the population. In this perspective, the expansion of the ESF in the country, there has been the advancement of nursing consultation to deployment in health units due to hiring more nurses who perform this activity as generalist care strategy focused on lines care and family care. So, when considering the coordinating role that the Family Health Strategy has in Care Network Health, the proposal to establish informatization strategies and integration of information surrounding the network through the International Classification of Nursing Practice meets historical perspective SUS is the payment of care (DUARTE, 2012). As a result, this study emerges from the evident need for more scientific nursing, concerned in offering assistance and more appropriate care to users of the ESF, by incorporating the Nursing Process / nursing consultation in the Brazilian health services, by International classification of Practical Nursing.
