Natural Hills on the lenses of Oswaldo Lamartine de Faria (1940-1980)
Seridó. Sertão. Nature. Modernity.
In this research we present nature as a subject of history and man as a geological agent acting in the natural environment. The nature that we covered in this research is located in the region of Seridó potiguar, marked by the aridity of the soil, caatinga vegetation and semi-arid climate. Emphasizing the modernization process of this space, causing interference to the ecosystem present in its natural environment, caused mainly by the action of man. This study starts from the works of Oswaldo Lamartine de Faria (1919- 2007), a sertanense sertanista writer, who writes about the seridão sertão through the natural environment and the performance of man in it. In this way, we will intertwine the concepts of Natural History, hinterland and modernity to your writings.
