Effect of drop-set on muscle hypertrophy: a systematic review

Objective: The objective of the present study will be to evaluate what is the effect of the “drop-set” training method on muscle hypertrophy, comparing it with traditional training. Methodology: This study is a systematic review. Searches will be performed at the following databases: CINAHL, PubMed®, Scopus, SportDiscus, Web of Science (WOS). Randomized experimental studies that have analyzed the chronic effect of the drop-set is considered eligible for traditional training in muscle hypertrophy measures in samples composed of young and healthy individuals. The studies selection process will be carried out by two researchers blindly and independently. The risk of selected studies will be assessed through Tool for the Assessment of Study Quality and Reporting in Exercise (Testx).
