Methods: Eigth male morbidly obese were submitted to gastric bypass on Roux-en-y and assessed before and six months after the procedure with hormonal reproductive profile and seminal analysis and compared with the IMC. The hormonal profile consisted in total testosterone (TT), Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH). The points analyzed in seminal analysis were concentration in million/ml and motility. Results: The results did not appoint to the perfect correlation of loss weight and seminal analysis. In otherwise, the sharp weight loss was responsible for the increasing at the TT levels in all patients submitted to the treatment. No differences were observed on FSH and LH levels. Conclusions: The weight loss caused by the bariatric surgery can lead to a better of male reproductive hormonal profile, but is still necessary a bigger number of cases to a better assessment of the seminal analysis.
