SUMMARY:

Workers' illness has a major impact on occupational health. The health sector, specifically
nursing professionals, represents the class that develops the greatest number of illnesses at
work. Defined as groups of diseases that comprise characteristics of uncertain etiologies,
various risk factors, prolonged latency periods, in addition to being related to deficiencies
and functional disabilities, chronic non-communicable diseases can affect not only
professional life, but also social life. which impacts the individual’s quality of life.
Therefore, it is necessary to implement the worker health navigation program in order to
fully guarantee the provision of quality health care to workers. Thus, this study aimed to
develop a navigation protocol to assist healthcare workers with chronic non-communicable
diseases. This is a methodological study conducted using Pasquali's psychometric
framework, organized into three procedures: theoretical procedures in which a Scoping
Review was carried out to find out about the interventions applied that make up the
protocol; empirical procedures for building the protocol using scientific evidence and
content validation via Google forms and Delphi stages with expert judges in the area of
occupational health and/or nursing navigation and, analytical procedures with analysis of
data from the previous phase using the coefficient of content validation, when items with a
minimum agreement of 80% between the judges were considered valid. The study will be
submitted to the Ethics and Research Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande
do Norte.
