communication and information; human aging; older adults; Agenda 2030.
Population aging is one of the most significant transformations of recent centuries, posing major challenges to public institutions and society. In contemporary times, technological acceleration has profoundly transformed the dynamics of communication and access to information. In this context, it becomes necessary to promote informational communication for older adults, ensuring their right to social participation through accessible, inclusive, and intergenerational communication practices, in accordance with legal and regulatory frameworks. The general objective of this study is to propose an Institutional Guide for Responsible Communication about Older Adults, grounded in legal and regulatory frameworks and based on inclusive and dialogical communication strategies. The proposal is justified by the urgency of mitigating informational asymmetries that marginalize older adults, in alignment with national legislation and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The research methodology is qualitative and exploratory-descriptive in nature. The methodological procedures include bibliographic research and documentary analysis of legal and institutional frameworks. The results will support the development of the Communication Guide as the final product, aiming to consolidate practices aligned with the institutional mission and with the demands of a society that promotes the rights of older adults as a fundamental human right.
