SUMMARY:

This research investigates the institutionalization of the Memorial of Colégio Agrícola Vidal de Negreiros (CAVN), a memory space linked to the Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), located in Bananeiras-PB. The general objective is to develop a proposal for Internal Regulations for the Memorial that aligns legal requirements with the institution's specific needs to consolidate its institutional and social recognition. The research is justified by the vulnerable condition of the space, which, despite being inaugurated in 2014 and holding a centennial collection on technical agricultural education, lacks legal and administrative formalization within the University. The theoretical framework articulates concepts of cultural heritage, places of memory, and museological management, guided by legal landmarks such as the Museums Statute (Law No. 11.904/2009) and UFPB's internal regulations, such as Ordinance No. 37/2024. Methodologically, it is a case study of an applied nature with a qualitative approach, exploratory and descriptive in character. The technical procedure involves documentary research to form a corpus composed of normative acts from the nine UFPB memory spaces, obtained through the Access to Information Law. The data will be analyzed using Bardin's Content Analysis integrated with the Public Benchmarking strategy, aiming to identify best management practices to support the creation of the Internal Regulations. The final product will consist of a technical-normative instrument essential for safeguarding the heritage and ensuring the sustainability of the Memorial's preservation, research, and outreach activities.
