Sexual Education; Generator theme; Didactic Workshop
According to legal documents, basic education must seek the integral formation of the indivual. For this it is necessary to consider educational processes that promote learning in tune with the needs, possibilities and interests of studentes. The theme sexual education, besides belonging to the student’s reality, arouses interest and contributes to their integral formation. In this perspective, the present study os based on Paulo Freire’s framework of generative themes and brings an educacional product composed of didactic workshops to work on issues related to Sexual Education. These workshops were applied to elementary and high school students from a state school teacher Maria Lídia da Silva located in São Bento do Trairi/RN. During the implementation of the workshops it was possible to perceive the active participacion of the studentes, since the proposed activities favored dialogue and reflections. In addition the subject is of interest to the student, which enabled their participation in all proposed activities. Although all teachers have been involved in the development of the proposed activities, some are still not comfortable working on these topics in the classroom. With this work it was possible to realize that there is still a lack of information about contraceptive methods, sexually transmitted diseases and what are the impacts of na unwanted pregnacy on a teenager’s life. It was also noticed that this subject is, fot the most part, not dealt with in the Family environment but is dealt with in some disciplines, most of the time as curricular content. For the teachers the proposed activities favored the problematization of knowledge stimulated the students participation. At the end of the workshops, students positively evaluated the activities and suggested other themes to be worked on in the classroom. It is Worth mentioning that the theme emerged from the student’s need. For the production of the workshops we use as legal guideline the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC)
