RESUMO:

The great changes taking place in society brings challenges for education that must be prepared to train professionals to meet the needs of the labor market. To adapt to these changes the higher educational institutions are adopting active teaching methodologies in which the center of the teaching-learning process is the student. An active methodology that has been used in the Accounting Course is the Problem-Based Learning (PBL), which contributes to the professional development of future accountants. In view of this, this research aims to evaluate the implications of the implementation of Problem Based Learning method and the development of students skills in curricular component of Corporate Controller. This study is descriptive, characterized as ex-post-facto, with qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out through participant observation, document analysis and questionnaires given to students. The qualitative data analysis will be held for content analysis, and quantitative data analysis will be done by Factor Analysis and Multiple Correspondence Analysis (HOMALS).
