AROEIRA SEEDLINGS PRODUCTION (Myracrodruon urundeuva fr. Allemão) TARGETING ITS CONSERVATION AND PERCEPTION OF BARAUNA CITY COMMUNITIES ON ITS SUSTAINABLE USE.
Myracrodruon Urundeuva, biotechnology e conservation
The Myracrodruon urundeuva fr. All., belongs to the Anacardiaceae family, popularly known as aroeira, occurs the following biomes of the savanna and cerrado, is more frequent in the northeast. It has various forms of exploitation because of their heavy and almost incorruptible wood, and because of its medicinal properties. For these reasons, the aroeira is in the official list of species of the Brazilian flora threatened with extinction, the vulnerable class, so it is a species that needs conservation. Thus, it is of great importance to emphasize studies about setting protocols and strategies that enhance the storage of seeds and seedling production of high quality. That said, the aim was contribute to improvements of strategies for the conservation of aroeira, improving germination techniques, storage and environmental awareness. Thus, in order to achieve the objective of this study, we evaluated the germination of aroeira at different common substrates, sand; clay; sand mixed with clay, 50% each; sand mixed with humus, 50% each; clay mixed with humus, 50% of each; mixed with sand and clay and humus, 25% sand, 25% clay and 50% humus. Evaluate the germination of seeds in synthetic substrates sand, clay and vermiculite, and determine whether they can be a tool for the conservation of aroeira. In the social sphere, the aim is to capture the perception of Baraúna residents about the current state of aroeira and measure how aroeia may be affected because of their various uses by the community. It is expected that with the completion of work we can understand and produce a more effective methodology for the production of seedlings and that artificial seeds are more a device to be used for conservation of aroeira, as well as for their storage, to create a seed bank for future use. With social work is targeted by the proposals made by the community according to the chosen criteria, find out how much the situation of aroeiras are known by the community, wanting to know if they really use aroeira in their daily lives and how they use it . And still craves that environmental education can serve for the community to understand the importance of aroeira, and relearn to use it sustainably. In order that we can turn negative into positive criteria.
