The PRODEMA (Regional Program of Postgraduation in Development and Environment) is an interdisciplinary, interinstitutional and intra-regional proposal, with the participation of eight northeastern Universities (UFPI, UFC, UFRN, UFPB, UEPB, UFPE, UFS and UESC). UFRN’s Subprogram, integrated to the Network and recommended by CAPES in 2004 (Of. #168/2004/CTC/CAPES), includes the Master’s in Development and Environment, which includes 2 Lines of Research: Structure, Functioning and Sustainability of Ecosystems, and Culture and Development.

This Subprogram aims to integrate the different skills and competences for the training of qualified professionals at Masters level, who will be able to contribute to the analysis of socio-environmental problems for the Sustainable Development of the Northeast Region.

PRODEMA/UFRN is headquartered at the Center for Biosciences at UFRN; however, the following centers are also part of this proposal: CCHLA, CCET and CT.
