IDENTIFICATION AND MORPHOMETRIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS OF THE AREA OF DIRECT HYDROLOGIC INFLUENCE IN THE MANGROVES OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AREA OF THE BARRA DO RIO MAMANGUAPE

Plan and manage a territory is no easy task, in particular when it comes to a Sustainable Use Conservation Unit that encompasses different social actors and different ecosystems like in the Environmental Protection Area of the Barra do Rio Mamanguape, on the northern coast of the state of Paraíba, which has as main object of conservation Manatee Marine (Trichechus manatus, Linnaeus, 1758) and the mangroves of Mamanguape and Miriri rivers. Know and understand well the area is essential for effectiveness planning and management of the area. On this basis, identify the area of direct hydrologic influence, ie the topological limit area that has runoff towards the mangrove, contributes to decision-making on the conservation of natural resources, especially water, are planned and implemented more consistently. Thus, this study aims to identify the area of direct hydrologic influence in the mangroves of the APA of the Barra do Rio Mamanguape, analyze the current situation of the inserted landscape within the limits of the APA as well as the area of direct hydrologic influence and seek to understand how resident populations on the beach region between the rivers Mamanguape and Miriri use and space understand the natural resources they need. Thus, there was obtained the total area of direct hydrological influence 578km². This area covers six cities of the north coast of the state of Paraiba (Santa Rita, Lucena, Rio Tinto, Mamanguape, Marcação and Baía da Traição) where an analysis of the environmental risks of linear morphology, sand and hipsometric with a view to the concepts was conducted Landscape Ecology.
