Outlining the Teacher Profile for Interprofessional Education at a Brazilian University Campus
Health Personnel; Interprofessional education; Educational assessment
The obstacles to interprofessional education are initiated by the structural logic of the current
scenario of Brazilian higher education. The vast majority of courses operate in isolation, in
their own structures, strengthening and legitimizing information segregation, making
interaction between students in the initial training process difficult. As a result, the cultural
barrier is still understood as the biggest challenge, initially inserted through the
epistemological and pedagogical vision of the teacher. The proposal for Interprofessional
Education recognizes the relationship of mutual influence between health care and education,
as a strategy to train qualified professionals capable of working as a team, improving care and
service to the community. The objective of this research is to analyze the insertion of
Interprofessional Education in the teaching practice of the health area on the campuses of the
Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), in the case of a descriptive study, with a
qualitative approach through a documentary study for field research , approved by the ethics
committee with opinion 7,149,428, respecting the ethical aspects present in resolution
466/12, which regulates research carried out with human beings in accordance with the
National Health Council.
