Informational Design and Business Intelligence: An Application in the Decision-Making Process of People Management in a Regional Labor Court
informational design; business intelligence; decision making; public administration; people management.
The research aims to propose a Business Intelligence (BI) solution integrating Information Design concepts to optimize data visualization and improve the decision-making process in people management at the Regional Labor Court of the 21st Region (TRT21-RN). The central problem lies in the lack of a legible, accessible, and efficient visual artifact that allows for the analysis of administrative data within the personnel management decision-making process. In the adopted methodology, semi-structured interviews were conducted with decision-makers and information operators to map specific informational needs and current bottlenecks. Based on these data, a BI dashboard was developed, grounded in principles of usability and informational clarity, which underwent validation by the interviewees to verify the alignment of the produced material with their workplace needs.
