Multi-RAT Network Slicing: A Reference Arquitecture Proposal
5G, Network Slicing, multi-RAT
The advancement of 5G technology represents a significant transformation in mobile networks, enabling service personalization through Network Slicing. This work proposes the creation of an architecture that integrates 5G and WLAN networks, aiming to optimize resource allocation and ensure secure and isolated communication between different slices. The research seeks to identify the essential components for this integration, map the resources required for slice creation, and develop a functional prototype. The methodology is based on the specifications of 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, and Wi-Fi Alliance, with the goal of overcoming current challenges in 5G infrastructure and fostering innovations across various sectors.
