CLUPIR: A Proposal for Classification of Visual Software Modeling Languages
Software visual modeling languages, Classification, Taxonomy.
Software Visual Modeling Languages (SVML) aim to facilitate the software development process by documenting systems and supporting communication between those involved. Currently we have the most diverse modeling languages available to represent the most diverse types of problems, but there is no platform that centralizes, organizes and catalogs these languages, so that they can be identified and selected by a software engineer. This research aims to develop a SVML classification model that should be validated by experts and also evaluated by SVML users. The classification will also be made available on a public web platform so that users can find the most suitable SVML to meet the specificities of a given modeling demand.
