SUMMARY:

This work seeks to cover the daily life of Bodegas Solidárias, an initiative developed by the Rural and Urban Assistance Service (SAR), located in ten municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte, aiming to analyze the contribution that this social technology has given to a significant number of families in situation of social vulnerability and hunger. It starts from the understanding that the human right to adequate food materializes in a concrete way in the lives of these families as the promotion, accessibility and availability of healthy food occurs in a food system that connects the dimensions of production, supply and of food consumption in the territory. Bodega Solidária is part of an action aligned with the strategy of the National Food and Nutritional Security Policy, contributing to reducing the population's food insecurity rates by promoting access to adequate and healthy food. This is an important piece of equipment that substantiates the ideal of the right to adequate food, in which quantity and quality dialogue in favor of establishing minimum access to nutrients essential to human development, as well as promoting training processes for families and impact on public policies. . The direct action of social actors in the hunger and food insecurity agenda requires complex approaches that go beyond food scarcity. Its confrontation requires articulation between different public policies and social sectors, adopting a new approach from the perspective of dialogue with the experiences accumulated by social technologies for promoting sovereignty and food and nutritional security developed by organized civil society. The research will use the quantitative-qualitative method, based on interviews and questionnaires applied to users in the ten municipalities where there are Bodegas Solidárias (Natal, Ceará-Mirim, João Câmara, Macau, São Tomé, Lagoa Salgada, São José de Mipibu, Pedro Velho, Nísia Floresta e Montanhas), covering the period from 2020 to 2024.
