Neopaganism; Piaga Paganism; Pagan Village; Sacred Space;
This work aims, firstly, to carry out a historiographical approach about the advent of neopaganism, as an emerging religious aspect in the context of the countercultural movement, beginning in the second half of the 20th century. In the midst of this discussion, it intends to analyze, specifically, the manifestation of the polytheistic religious aspect “Paganismo Piaga”, which was conceived by a group of young neo-pagans in Teresina-PI, and, next, to highlight the construction process of Vila Pagã, which is located in the municipality of José de Freitas-PI, in the context of the years 2007-2020. In addition, it seeks to understand how Vila Pagã was constituted as a sacred space, in which it has a religious landscape built from the spiritual practices of its members, who, in turn, established a specific space in relation to the major religions of Piauí.
