This study evaluated the growth of the macroalga *Gracilaria birdiae* in floating raft cultivation systems across different coastal environments in Rio Grande do Norte over a period of 43 days. Twenty samples were used, divided into two groups with initial biomasses of 100 g and 200 g. Throughout the experiment, algal weight and physicochemical water parameters—such as temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen, and nitrite—were monitored. The results showed continuous growth in both treatments; samples starting with 200 g exhibited the greatest absolute biomass gain, while those starting with 100 g showed the highest relative growth. Variations were also observed depending on the cultivation location, suggesting a possible influence of local environmental conditions. Overall, environmental parameters were favorable for the species' development, despite some deviations from values considered ideal in the literature. These results demonstrate the strong performance of *G. birdiae* in cultivation systems and highlight its potential for sustainable mariculture, contributing to income generation, socioeconomic development, and the strengthening of coastal communities in Rio Grande do Norte.
