SUMMARY:

This dissertation departs from the following problem: the existence of an ontological relation between capital, war, race, and gender within a global context marked by mass incarceration. In response to this problem, I propose an excavation of the historically specific regime of violence that I designate as the racial cispatriarchy of value. Such an excavation presupposes, therefore, an inquiry into the form of violence itself. In this context, the term historically specific acquires a double meaning: it refers both to the historical circumscription of this regime of violence and to historicity itself as a specificity of the form of violence characteristic of the commodity-producing racial cispatriarchy. Against this analytical backdrop, the aim is to demonstrate how war and carcerality constitute integral moments of the regime of violence of value, understood as a form of social domination that is intrinsically masculine and white. To this end, the problem is approached through two interrelated dimensions: (a) a reflection on the logical and the historical in the analysis of the relationship between capitalism and violence, which accompanies the dissertation throughout its development; and (b) a theorization of the real abstraction of value in order to expose annihilatory violence and carcerality as constitutive moments and dynamics of the real metaphysics of value. Taken together, these two dimensions make possible a qualitative transformation in the understanding of the contradiction between form and matter within the logical-historical dynamics of the value relation and of the modern ontological context that it structures.
