Working the concepts of science always presents great difficulties to the teaching practice, especially, when it refers the ways to motivate students to search for knowledge. In this perspective, we need to think about actions that integrate the reality of the student into the content worked. Thus, when we identify our research locus, the State School Filomena de Azevedo, located in the city of Santo Antônio / RN, we perceive the strong impact that agriculture has on the reality of our students and decided to develop a didactic sequence (SD) to discuss the concepts of atom, chemical elements, simple substance, compound substances, periodic table, acids, bases, pH, referring to the structuring of a school garden based on the knowledge that the students present on this subject. This school, attends more than 800 students in the middle level in the day and night shifts and was selected because it is the work environment of the teacher and master. In addition, the application of SD occurred in the 1st year classes of the morning and afternoon shifts, with 154 participants. 
The objectives of this work are to develop, apply and evaluate the educational product characterized by being a didactic sequence directed to teachers of chemistry of the 1st year of high school. This work presents a series of activities ranging from the construction of the environment of the school garden, such as preparation of the land, the use of media materials such as videos, scientific dissemination texts, dialogues and experimental activities.
These activities, constituents of the proposed educational product, aim to increase interest in chemistry classes, stimulate cooperative work, and value agricultural practices for the acquisition of chemical knowledge. This work is qualitative and will be developed from the answers given by the students to the initial and final questionnaires, with open and closed questions about their experiences with agricultural work and the contributions of activities to the learning of chemistry.
For the analysis of the data obtained in the questionnaires was used the content analysis technique of Laurence Bardin. This work also adopts a format of participant observation and for the field notes we use Bogdan and Biklen's considerations.
As results obtained by the initial questionnaire, we can perceive that great childbirth of the students are inserted in the environment where the agricultural activity remains strong and full of popular knowledge useful to the development of the school garden, besides, we note the interest to learn how the chemistry can contribute to the healthy development of vegetables and awareness of the irregular use of products harmful to human health by their family members.
