SUS, Permanent Health Education, Teaching-Service Integration
Permanent Health Education, as a strategy for training and developing workers for the SUS, was defined as a policy through Ordinance GM/MS nº 198, of February 13, 2004, and improved by Ordinance GM/MS nº 1996, of 20 /08/07 that defines new guidelines and strategies for the implementation of the National Policy on Permanent Education in Health (PNEPS), establishing the Permanent Commissions for Teaching-Service Integration (CIES) as permanent instances that participate in the formulation, conduction and development of the Policy National Permanent Education in Health. In this sense, this research aimed to develop actions for the institution of the Regional Teaching-Service Integration Commission (CIES) of Imperatriz/MA, for the strengthening of the National Policy of Permanent Education in the region. This is an Action Research with an evaluative study, of the before and after type, whose theoretical framework is based on the assumptions of the National Policy on Permanent Education in Health (PNEPS). The subjects of this investigation were managers, SUS workers, representatives of educational institutions and social control who participate in the permanent education in health of the formative processes of Teaching-Service integration in the health of the Health Region of Imperatriz/MA. Data were collected before and after the implementation of the Permanent Commission for Teaching-Service Integration (CIES) Regional of Imperatriz/MA, which made it possible to describe the implementation of the PNEPS in Maranhão, the profile of the managers and their perception of the policy and the implementation of the Empress Regional Teaching-Service Integration Commission. It is hoped that the results of this research can support strategies for strengthening Permanent Education in Health, as well as for the establishment of regional Permanent Commissions for Teaching-Service Integration (CIES) in Maranhão.
