Zeolites are porous materials with crystalline structure belonging to the molecular sieve class. The syntheses of zeolitic materials can be modified by varying the parameters according to the need of the final material. This study presents the characterization of the different syntheses of ferrierite zeolite (FER). The syntheses were studied from the recipe presented at IZA to the modified ones regarding silica sources, time variation, Si / Al ratio variation, rotation variation, and surfactant use. For characterization, X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Fluorescence (FRX), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TG) analyzes were performed. In the present work some parameters were varied, time, Si/Al ratio and agitation. The purpose of these variations is to obtain a more crystalline structure and different morphologies for an improvement in the catalysis reactions that will be studied in a second stage of the work. It was observed that in the syntheses studied with different silica sources a good crystallinity of the FER structure was obtained in a time optimized in relation to the literature. In the syntheses studied with kaolin, diatomite and β-spodumene residue, there were other phases besides ferrierite. In the study with the use of surfactant, which aimed to change morphology, it was seen that in the Si/Al 7,6 ratio, the structure of the RES was obtained, but without change in morphology, in the Si/Al ratio 15,2. there is another phase besides FER, and in Si/Al ratio we got another structure, ZSM-5, instead of FER.
