SUMMARY:

The complexity in understanding the countless mechanisms that involve oral carcinogenesis demands detailed studies to help understand this intricate process. Therefore, macroscopic, histopathological and histomorphometric analysis are essential. Helping to understand not only the development, but also the genesis of possible pathological changes that can affect this very important system of the human body, which is the Digestive System. Therefore, we will carry out this study using rats of the Wistar lineage, which is an animal that is very similar to humans, subjecting them to a chemical carcinogenesis induction process and subsequently carrying out the analysis of the clinical, histopathological and histomorphometric characteristics of the different stages of development of carcinoma in much of the digestive tract. It is expected that the findings of this project can contribute to improving the understanding of the carcinogenesis process and possible correlations between malignant and potentially malignant lesions in different areas of the digestive tract, such as the oral cavity, esophagus and stomach. In the 8-week OC group on the tongue, there was 1 case of minimally invasive DSC on the posterior dorsum, 1 case of in situ DSC on the posterior dorsum, 3 cases of DSC on the posterior dorsum. In the group 08 weeks of OC on the palate, 2 cases of CEO in the posterior region, 2 cases of CEO in the anterior and posterior region and 1 case of severe oral epithelial dysplasia. In the 12-week OC group on the tongue, there were 3 cases of CEO in situ on the posterior dorsum and 1 case of CEO in situ on the anterior and posterior dorsum. In the 12-week group of OC in the palate, 3 cases of CEO in the posterior hard palate, 1 case of CEO in the hard palate in the anterior and posterior region, 1 case of CEO in the soft palate. In the 8-week Esophageal group, 5 cases of EEC in the abdominal region. In the 12-week Esophagus group, 3 cases of EEC in the abdominal region, 1 case of minimally invasive EEC in the abdominal region, and 1 case of minimally invasive EEC in the thoracic region. In the 8-week Stomach group, 5 cases of erosive gastritis in the cardia, fundus/body and pylorus. In the 12-week Stomach group, 5 cases of erosive gastritis in the cardia, fundus/body and pylorus.
