RESUMO:

The approach of oral genres in the classroom, besides of providing the diversity teaching of textual genres, contributes to the students development of skills that will be useful in real events, considering their specificities in different interactions. Thus, they require also what is observed for the written modality of the Portuguese Language, preparation and elaboration of pedagogical activities consistent from the point of view of its linguistic / discursive organization. In this work, we objective to investigate if the students of the 9th grade are able to use the oral genre seminar in the classroom, since we have identified some difficulties in their use, after having done a data survey through a proposed seminar. As a means of providing conditions for students to overcome their difficulties, we proposed an action, through a didactic sequence, in order to use this genre of the oral modality. For the realization of this proposal with the seminar genre, we are based on studies that follow discursive, sociointerational and textual perspectives, focusing on discursive / textual genres and oral genres. We are based on the studies of Bakhtin (2016), Dolz, Schnewly and Noverraz (2011), Marcuschi (2016), Melo and Cavalcante (2006), Gonçalves (2010), among others. We followed a qualitative research approach (Chizotti, 2013), specifying the action-research, whose assumptions indicate the diagnosis of the situation and the proposed change. Therefore, the methodological procedures for the implementation of this action-research were carried out through questionnaires that provided a general and preliminary view of the situation of the class investigated. Based on this vision, we developed a work, proposing actions in the direction of the production of the textual genre seminar, in order to follow the development of the students regarding the practice of the genre, already cited, in the classroom. At the end of the action, we could observe that, during the course of the work, as well as in the final production, the students presented significant advances in performance when using the study genre. This result allowed us to point out that the problems initially demonstrated by the students were caused by the absence of a systematized approach to the teaching of formal oral genres in the classroom.
