A Proposal Requirements Engineering Education considering Industry Challenges
Requirements Engineering, Teaching-learning, Active Methology, Class Plan.
Much has happened since the emergence of Software Engineering with its techniques that
aim to organize and attribute quality to both the process and the software product. Requirements
Engineering is at the heart of Software Engineering and software development
begins at it. Several studies report that many problems in software development are related
to requirements area. Absence of formalism, minimal documentation and incorrect
speci cation are some of the problems identi ed. An analysis of the problems cited in the
studies did realize that these are topics of the academy in the discipline of Requirements
Engineering. In addition, there are also challenges in the process of requirements in the
industry and, according to some studies, this may be related to poor training or not updating
curricula as well as ine ective teaching of certain content in the disciplines involving
requirements engineering. This paper proposes a lesson plan with topics that emphasizes
the problems of the industry as well as the methodologies of education in order to improve
teaching as they stimulate student learning.
