SUMMARY:

Considering the importance of prenatal care, as well as the use of educational resources in the health teaching process, the elaboration of a digital booklet that is based on the satisfaction and perception of pregnant women assisted in the Basic Health Units within the scope of Primary Health Care was designed with the aim of improving prenatal care.  to meet the needs of the population regarding the service provided in the Health Units and to enable an autonomous and collective learning of the population as a consequence of the present study. Therefore, the objective is to develop a digital booklet to support prenatal care carried out in the Family Health Strategy Units. This is a methodological research for the development of a digital booklet for pregnant women, in the various stages of pregnancy, with mixed data collection through questionnaires and interviews, carried out in two stages: 1) Mapping of the learning needs of pregnant women; 2) Development of a digital booklet. Eighty-six pregnant women were followed up at the Felipe Camarão II Family Health Unit, on the premises of the Unit, during prenatal consultations. It is worth mentioning that the study complied with the ethical principles recommended for research carried out with human beings by Resolution No. 466/2012 and No. 510/2016 of the National Health Council, whose opinion of the ethics committee was to approve the study, according to Opinion No. 5,444,194 and approval on June 1, 2022. Based on the answers of the pregnant women, it was possible to perceive that the majority presented expectations related to their prenatal care (48%) and that the majority is satisfied with the care offered (50%). A minority did not have previous expectations of prenatal care (28%) and another minority was dissatisfied with the care provided (23%). The pregnant women's answers were used to construct an educational material in the format of a digital booklet. This booklet will serve as support for face-to-face meetings with pregnant women.
