RESUMO:

The purpose of this dissertation is to discuss the right to intimacy in the workplace, a right that is inserted in the rights of the personality, and as such, primarily secured by the Federal Constitution. It addresses the need for a closer look at situations of violations of the right to privacy, seeking ways to reduce abusive employer interference. It reflects the right to privacy as a right that can be mitigated depending on the specific case, since there are no absolute rights. Enter the constitutional, civil and labor court for a better foundation on the subject. It seeks to make a counterpoint between the directive power of the employer versus the worker's right to privacy, visualizing the worker as a citizen and demonstrating the limits to which each one is subject. Analyzes emblematic situations where there is often an extrapolation of the directive power and consequently a violation of the worker's right to privacy. Also, reflects ways to reduce such violations in the workplace.
