SUMMARY:

Objective: To evaluate the clinical longevity, marginal discrepancy (MD), and internal discrepancy (ID) of posterior monolithic full crowns made of two ceramic materials in CAD/CAM, as well as the impact of oral rehabilitation on esthetic satisfaction, quality of life and periodontal health of the patient. Materials and Methods: Patients in need of a single posterior crown will be allocated using a simple draw between the groups (N=60/n=30): Control Group: (Lithium Disilicate - E-max CAD/Ivoclar Vivadent) and experimental group (Zircon Fit Plus- Talmax). Initially, all patients must sign the Free and Informed Consent Form (TCLE), and authorization for photographic registration. Then, the photographic and radiographic record, collection of clinical information, and periodontal probing will be carried out. An initial molding will be carried out to make a provisional in the laboratory in PMMA, so that in the next session the preparation of the dental remnant will be carried out, making an intraradicular retainer, when necessary, making a provisional, working molding with addition silicone and sending it to the laboratory. The crowns will be evaluated for their thickness on all faces with a thickness gauge at 9 equidistant points. Then, the mouth replication technique is performed with dense and fluid addition silicone, for making a die and evaluating MD and ID. Clinical survival rate (Ryge's Criteria), aesthetic satisfaction (Visual Analog Scale), and quality of life (Oral Impacts on Daily Performances, adapted) will be evaluated at follow-up times: 1, 6, 12, and 24 months after rehabilitation. The data obtained will be evaluated for their homogeneity and sample distribution to determine the relevant statistical analysis. The modified CDA/Ryge criteria will be evaluated qualitatively, and the survival rate for the crowns of each material will be calculated using Kaplan-Meier and Log Rank. For the degree of satisfaction (Friedman), quality of life (chi-square test), marginal and internal discrepancy (Mann Whitney), periodontal evaluation data will be quantitatively evaluated, and ANOVA or Friedman test. Expected results: The crowns have longevity and good aesthetics and DM and DI within the parameters accepted in the literature.
