SUMMARY:

Periapical lesions are inflammatory conditions resulting from sequelae of infection caused by bacterial invasion of root canals and result responses from imunology system. During periapical lesion formation, activating factors, angiogenic for granular tissue formation. ING acts in favor of angiogenesis through its interaction with the p65 subunit of NF-kB, which is through angiogenic factors. VEGF represents one of the most important mediators in the process of angiogenesis, essential in the formation of periapical granulomas and cysts. The present study aims to analyze the association of the immunoexpression pattern of ING-4, VEGF and NF-kB in periapical inflammation. Clinical, morphological and immunohistochemical studies will be performed. Thus, the histological sections will be submitted  to immunohistochemical reactions  by streptavidin-biotin-peroxidase technique for detection of ING4, VEGF, NF-kB in periapical granulomas, radicular cysts and residual cysts. Finally, the results selected for descriptive evaluations and relevant statistical tests.
