SUMMARY:

Objective: to analyze the surface of ceramic zirconia blocks made by the CAD/CAM system, according to the useful life of the drills used for their machining, considering surface roughness, cell viability of human fibroblasts and microbial adhesion of Porfiromonas gingivalis. Methodology: three pre-sintered ceramic blocks will be milled (ICE zirconia 95H10- ZIRKONZAHN), at the following times: G1 2L and 1L drills at the beginning of its useful life, G2 2L drill at the end of its useful life, G3 both drills at the end of its useful life. Block analyzes will be performed with the aid of surface roughness test, optical profilometry and scanning electron microscopy. The cell viability analysis of human fibroblasts will be performed using fluorometry to estimate the number of viable cells and the microbial adhesion analysis regarding the adhesion of P. gingivalis to the specimens will be analyzed by counting colony-forming units 24 hours after the incubation of microorganisms. The data will be statistically analyzed by 3-factor ANOVA and Tukey's post-test (5%), for the realization of descriptive and statistical definitions, a database will be created in the statistical software SPSS version 20.0, where the significance index will be adopted. 95% (p<0.05).
