SUMMARY:

Introduction: the quality of implant-supported rehabilitation goes beyond the principles of osseointegration, requiring a broader assessment, both of the aspect of an aesthetic evaluation and its impact on the patient's satisfaction and quality of life. Objective: to evaluate objectively and subjectively the aesthetics quality of life, and patients’ satisfaction wearing provisional crown and the final metal free crowns on single implants installed in the smile region. Materials and methods: a blind, non-randomized controlled clinical trial was performed out with the grouping of patients in a sequenced manner, first half had a prefabricated titanium abutment (G1) installed and the second a zirconia abutment (G2). All patients received a temporary crown before the final crown. Aesthetic assessments were performed using the Pink Esthetic Score (PES) and White Esthetic Score (WES), satisfaction was assessed by a Visual Analog Scale (VAS),and quality of life by Oral Impacts on Daily Performances (OIDP) and Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14).
